Older circuits can provide safe service for years. HOWEVER, there are two
panel brands that are known to have manufacturing and design flaws. Those are:
Federal Pacific Electrical and certain Zinsco panels. A quick search on the
internet will verify this. A YouTube video (below)shows a circuit breaker failure and
subsequent fire. Many homes have panels that may
no longer provide adequate protection.
